Social Browser 2026.10.01: Windows + Linux, Automation Studio and MCP Workflows
Social Browser 2026.10.01 is now the current public release. This release is available for Windows 64-bit and Linux x64, with Linux packages provided as AppImage and DEB.
Persistent Profiles for real multi-account workflows
Social Browser keeps browser Profiles separate so each workspace can maintain its own cookies, sessions, local storage, browser settings and optional proxy configuration. Groups, Tags and search help organize larger Profile libraries without turning account management into a list of unrelated windows.
Per-Profile proxy configuration
Proxy Manager lets a user assign network settings to the Profile that actually needs them instead of changing one global browser route. This keeps the Profile, its session state and its intended proxy configuration together as one repeatable workspace.
Automation Studio for repeatable browser work
Automation Studio separates a workflow's browser steps from its execution policy and target Profiles. Start with a small sequential run, verify page readiness and expected state, then increase concurrency only after the workflow is stable.
AI and MCP workflows
Social Browser exposes supported browser and automation capabilities through MCP for AI clients and developer workflows. This makes it possible to combine persistent Profiles with browser inspection, automation, screenshots and other permitted browser operations without treating AI as a separate browser environment.
User Scripts, extensions and developer tooling
User Scripts remain useful for page-level customization, while compatible extensions, Browser API/CDP and Puppeteer-oriented workflows provide additional integration surfaces. These tools complement Automation Studio rather than replacing it.
Windows and Linux availability
- Windows: current 64-bit installer.
- Linux x64: AppImage and DEB packages.
- macOS and mobile: not currently published.
How to evaluate the release
For a practical test, create one or two Profiles, verify that their session state remains separated, assign a proxy only where needed, then run one small Automation Studio workflow. Developers can then test MCP, User Scripts or Browser API integration against the same persistent Profile model.
